What to do this week
Add this to the same weekly pass as search-term harvest. Prompts are another query report.
Steps
- Ads console → a live Sponsored Products campaign → ad group → Ads → Prompts. Repeat for Sponsored Brands if you run them.
- Sort by spend. Pause prompts with enough clicks to judge and zero orders. Use the same patience you use for harvest (the desk default is 10 clicks and 0 orders) unless the prompt is off-brand on sight.
- Read the prompt text. If it invents a use the listing does not support, pause it and fix the bullet or the attribute. The assistant is quoting you.
- Do not “fix” a bad prompt by raising the campaign bid.
- Log pauses in the weekly note so a bulk sheet does not turn the ad back on without the prompt decision.
If your marketplace has no Prompts tab, you are not in this GA. Do not install a workaround.
FAQ
Should I turn all prompts off?
Turn off the ones that spend without a sale or that misquote the product. Leave the ones that answer a real question and convert. The listing work is what makes the second group larger.
