Why this is an ads problem in September
Peak storage (October–December) stacks on top of aged inventory. A SKU you are “protecting” with exact bids may already be paying a surcharge for sitting. Rank does not unwind storage. The monthly snapshot is the bill. The monthly SOP is the action.
- Sort FNSKUs by age, not by parent ASIN sales.
- Anything that cannot clear before the next tier loses its ranking campaign.

The structural change is in the 2026 fee cycle. The exact day each band starts is on your aged-inventory report. If your report still shows 271 as the first band, follow the report, not this sentence.
Does peak storage replace aged inventory?
No. Peak storage is October–December monthly storage. Aged inventory is a separate surcharge on old units. They stack.
