Aged-inventory surcharge: 181-day start and a 456-day tier (January 2026)
Amazon veröffentlicht Seller-Central- und Ads-Hinweise auf Englisch. Der Brief unten bleibt Englisch, damit der Wortlaut der Quelle nicht verloren geht. Review, Formulare und Richtlinien sind auf Deutsch. Live-Zahlen in Seller Central prüfen.
Who it hits
FBA catalogs with units older than about six months, especially seasonal SKUs bought for a nine-month runway.
What to do this week
Open the aged-inventory report before the next monthly snapshot. Remove, liquidate, or Outlet anything that will not sell before the next tier. Stop ranking campaigns on those FNSKUs.
Why this is an ads problem in September
Peak storage (October–December) stacks on top of aged inventory. A SKU you are “protecting” with exact bids may already be paying a surcharge for sitting. Rank does not unwind storage. The monthly snapshot is the bill. The monthly SOP is the action.
- Sort FNSKUs by age, not by parent ASIN sales.
- Anything that cannot clear before the next tier loses its ranking campaign.
- Removal, disposal, liquidation, and Outlet are different fees. Run the removal brief before you click.

FAQ
Is 181 days official or a blog number?
The structural change is in the 2026 fee cycle. The exact day each band starts is on your aged-inventory report. If your report still shows 271 as the first band, follow the report, not this sentence.
Does peak storage replace aged inventory?
No. Peak storage is October–December monthly storage. Aged inventory is a separate surcharge on old units. They stack.
