US FBM prepaid return labels: high-value exemption ended 8 February 2026
Amazon publikuje komunikaty Seller Central i Ads po angielsku. Brief poniżej zostaje po angielsku, by nie zgubić źródła. Przegląd, formularze i polityki są w Twoim języku. Potwierdź liczby w Seller Central.
Who it hits
US FBM catalogs that used to skip Amazon prepaid labels on high-value SKUs. Anyone advertising those SKUs without a current US return address.
What to do this week
Confirm APRL enrollment and the US return address. Do not keep ranking a high-ASP FBM ASIN whose returns now auto-label if you have not priced the return cost into break-even.
Why ads people miss this
A $400 FBM hero used to absorb a return as a negotiated label. Now Amazon prints the label. Refund speed is Amazon’s. If the unit does not come back, or the address on file is wrong, you eat the unit and the click you already paid for. Contribution after a 7-day refund is not the contribution you used to set ACOS in January.
| Still true | Kill it as a bid input if |
|---|---|
| SAFE-T / seller assurance exists for some buyer-fault cases. Confirm the live claim path. | You raise CPC because “returns are Amazon’s problem now.” They are your fee and your window. |
| Exemptions remain for named categories. | You assume every SKU is exempt because ASP is high. High-value was the exemption that died. |
| A current US return address is required for the prepaid flow to land. | The address is a 3PL that closed. Amazon can treat undeliverable returns as abandoned. |
This week
- Seller Central → return settings. Confirm prepaid returns for seller-fulfilled orders. Read which SKUs are exempt.
- Check the US return address against the warehouse that actually receives. Fix it before the next high-ASP return.
- Rerun break-even on advertised FBM ASINs with the faster refund and the prepaid label cost. Cut ranking if the unit no longer clears your floor.
- Do not pause ads on a converting FBA child because the FBM sibling got more expensive to return. Split the campaigns.

FAQ
Does this hit FBA?
FBA returns were already Amazon’s flow. This brief is seller-fulfilled US orders.
Can I still request a SKU exemption?
Amazon’s older help text talked about SKU-level high-value exemptions. The February notice removed the blanket high-value skip. Read the live prepaid-returns help page before you assume a form still exists.
