Aggiornamenti Brief Fees
2026 US FBA fee stack: January 15 rate card, April 17 fuel surcharge, then Q4 peak
Amazon pubblica gli avvisi Seller Central e Ads in inglese. Il brief sotto resta in inglese per non perdere il testo fonte. Review, moduli e policy sono nella tua lingua. Conferma i numeri in Seller Central.
Who it hits
Every US FBA catalog. Thin-margin ASINs under ~$15, minimal-split inbound, and FNSKUs under 28 days of supply get hurt first.
What to do this week
Pull Fee Preview + Profit Analytics on heroes. Rebuild break-even ACOS with the live fulfillment fee, the 3.5% surcharge, and a peak-fulfillment buffer. Cut bids under the floor. Do not protect rank on SKUs that cannot carry ads after fees.
The three 2026 clocks, in order
| Clock | When | What it does to ads |
|---|---|---|
| Rate card | 15 Jan 2026 | Fulfillment fees up ~$0.08 average; more price bands. Low-inventory read moved to FNSKU. Aged-inventory 456-day tier. |
| Fuel / logistics surcharge | 17 Apr 2026 (US FBA) | 3.5% on the fulfillment fee. Not always obvious on a PDF you saved in January. |
| Peak fulfillment | 15 Oct 2026 – 14 Jan 2027 | Holiday per-unit step-up (Amazon cited ~$0.32 average over non-peak last year). Stacks with the surcharge. Storage is a separate Oct–Dec window. |
Inbound placement, low-inventory, returns processing, and aged-inventory surcharges are 2024-era fees that still do the damage. January 2026 expanded low-inventory to bulky and to the child FNSKU. Minimal-split inbound still costs; Amazon-optimized splits (typically 5+ locations) can zero the placement line. Confirm the current help page — splits and $ move.
What “September 2026” actually is
Sellers feel the squeeze in late August because Q4 inbound and bid ceilings have to be set before peak storage (1 Oct) and peak fulfillment (15 Oct). The rate card already moved in January and April. Waiting for a “Q4 fee announcement” to change bids is how you donate September margin and then buy October rank on an underwater SKU.
SOP this week
- Open FBA Fee Preview on every hero ASIN. Write down fulfillment + size tier. Add 3.5% if the surcharge is still on. Add a peak-fulfillment buffer for anything you will still sell after 15 Oct.
- Run the break-even ACOS calculator with those numbers plus COGS and referral. That is the bid ceiling.
- Anything that drops under an 18% contribution floor (or your real floor) loses ranking campaigns. Exact on converters only if they still clear.
- Check inbound placement on the next shipment: optimized split vs paying minimal-split. Placement is a bid input, not a warehouse trivia.
- Low-inventory: days of supply per FNSKU, not per parent. Restock or stop buying rank into a surcharge.
PPC implication
Target ACOS is a moving number. If fulfillment went up and bids did not, you did not “hold rank.” You paid Amazon to keep a position that no longer contributes. Peak volume will not rescue a SKU that was already underwater in August.

How other fee blogs get September wrong
The useful 2026 posts (EcomEngine, operator fee trackers, Seller Forums) do not invent a “September rate card.” They sequence clocks: 15 January fulfillment restructure, 17 April 3.5% fuel/logistics surcharge on US/CA FBA (MCF / Buy with Prime often 2 May), then Q4 storage (Oct–Dec) and peak fulfillment (15 Oct 2026–14 Jan 2027). Amazon’s own 2026 notice said no new FBA fee types, no 2025 US Referral/FBA increase, and an average of about $0.08 per unit on fulfillment — less than 0.5% of an average selling price. Third-party writeups then split that average by price band. Some of those band tables are useful as a hypothesis. None of them are a bid input. Fee Preview is.
How to confirm the live stack in Seller Central
Open Reports → Fulfillment → Fee Preview (or the Fee and Economics Preview). Pull every hero ASIN. Write fulfillment fee, size tier, and any surcharge line you can see. Open Profit Analytics if you have it — Amazon pointed sellers there in the 2026 notice. Then open Inventory → Send to Amazon on the next inbound and quote Amazon-optimized vs minimal-split placement. Then Inventory Planning by FNSKU for days of supply. That is the whole stack. A PDF you saved in January is not.
A clean way to think about “$0.08” without copying a blog table
Amazon published an average. Averages hide the SKUs that moved more. Operator coverage of the same window argued that cheaper ASINs and high-price bands did not move the same amount. Treat that as a reason to sort Fee Preview by the dollar change, not as a license to reprice the catalog by eight cents. Sort. Recalculate contribution. Cut ranking campaigns under your floor. Leave exact on converters that still clear.
What not to do
- Raise Q4 discovery “to make up the fee.” Volume does not rescue an underwater unit.
- Add 3.5% to ACOS instead of 3.5% to the fulfillment fee, then rerunning contribution.
- Protect organic rank with ads on a SKU that cannot carry the new stack.
- Quote a screenshot from someone else’s store as your rate card.

FAQ
Did Amazon raise FBA fees in September 2026?
The 2026 US fulfillment rate card effective date Amazon published is 15 January 2026. April added a 3.5% fuel/logistics surcharge. Q4 is peak fulfillment from 15 Oct, plus peak storage Oct–Dec. Recalculate now because inbound and bids lag — not because a new September table is the story.
Where do I get the current dollars?
Seller Central Fee Preview and the Fee and Economics Preview report. This brief is the sequence. It is not a rate card.
Should I raise prices by $0.08?
Only if Fee Preview plus your contribution math says the ASIN cannot carry ads or still contribute at the current price. A flat catalog bump is how you lose the buy box on the SKUs that barely moved.
Does this apply outside the US?
This brief is the US 2026 sequence Amazon published. Other marketplaces have their own notices. Confirm in that store’s Seller Central.
