FBA brands running Q4 or launch pressure with thin cover. Anyone whose Inventory Planning days of supply are shorter than inbound ETA.
What to do this week
For every advertised hero: write days of cover vs days until received inbound. If cover loses, pause ranking now. Restore exact after units check in — not when the truck left the factory.
The math that matters
Available + inbound that will receive before you stock out — not “in transit” hope. Restock limits and IPI can block the plan you already sold to the ads calendar. If you cannot replenish, you cannot buy rank.

- Inventory Planning (confirm live). Days of supply on every advertised hero.
- Compare to inbound receive ETA, not ship date. Mark ASINs where cover loses.
- Pause ranking on losers. Keep brand only if still in stock and Featured Offer is yours.
- After receive, restore exact converters first. Discovery waits until conversion holds again.
- Playbook: stockout pause ads. Restock vs IPI: two different caps.

Inbound is in transit — can I keep spending?
Not on ranking unless received quantity is already enough. In transit is not sellable.
Will pausing kill organic?
OOS already kills conversion. Paying for clicks into OOS makes it worse. Confirm with your own rank and sales history — do not take a blog guarantee.
