What to do this week
Run this before the mid-month snapshot and again in the last week of September, ahead of October storage.
Steps
- Open FBA Inventory Age. Sort by days of supply and by units already in the first surcharge band.
- Mark each FNSKU: sell through, Outlet, liquidate, remove, dispose.
- Price the exit with the removal and disposal brief.
- Pause ranking campaigns on exit FNSKUs the same day. Leave brand defense only if the offer will still be buyable.
- Write the decision in the weekly founder log so automation does not turn the campaign back on.
Confirm the snapshot date in Seller Central. It has been mid-month. Your report’s “estimated next charge” is the date that counts.
FAQ
Can ads burn the old units down in time?
Only if the unit still contributes after the surcharge and the ads. If it does not, you are paying twice — storage and clicks — to delay a removal.
